Design Allies logotype

Our collaboration with PropUp's Product Owner, Chris Lyman, sculpted functionalities unseen on the real estate horizon. We ventured into the rabbit holes of user journeys, enhancing end-user experience while optimizing their day-to-day tasks. Additionally, we expedited development time by establishing a robust design system.

/ KPI

Through our efforts, we sliced the turnover time by 40%, saving our customers an average of $100,000 per property per annum. 80 000 apartments – under the care of one diligent client.

/ Vision

Infuse the fresh breeze of tech innovation into the time-worn real estate industry.

/ Solution

we designed an all-encompassing web app, replete with novel features for managing the turnover process, workload and dashboard. We’ve also crafted mobile apps for field workers and a separate app for inspections.

/ What our designer says

/ What our client says

Design Allies logotype

I have never used external design team before. I’ve used to ask designers for UI patterns, where Design Allies differs is they come to challanges from user stories first, so through UX which leads to UI and finally patterns. And the results often are mindblowing. Implementing top down approach is what I highly appreciate. I come to design allies with a problem and they come back with solution in hierarchical approach of user journey, we agree on the process and proceed to prototyping UI designs, and from that design is pretty automated.

/ Future plans

Connecting via software office workers and field workers. Field workers are not as tech proficient as other users and often do not speak English, so that was a challange to provide them common tissue of communiacation. Before the mobile app the communication was very granular (phone calls, text messages for field workers and white board and markers for office workers – it’s still how industry works in 2023), and prone to err.

Before PropUp Property Managers relied on tangible whiteboards and markers for planning, scheduling, and overseeing the renovation process before new tenants moved in. Our digital solution revolutionized this, marking a significant turning point in the real estate industry.
